Politicians in Washington today are not leading. They are following. They are telling the voters what they want to hear instead of what they need to know. The hard truth is that we have no more money. The Federal government is going broke. The taxpayers are tapped out. Our tax base is shrinking. Jobs are being shipped overseas because of over burdensome regulations and exorbitant taxes imposed by Federal, State and Local governments. Big manufacturers are finding it harder and harder to compete in the USA. The US workers are not the problem. It’s Big Government. We are 14 trillion in debt and going up by over 1 trillion per year. We can’t afford any more “free” big government programs like health care. We need to eliminate the ones we don’t need and pare back the ones we have. We need to protect and reform the old programs like Social Security that are currently going broke, not add new ones that will saddle our children and grandchildren with mountains of debt that they can’t pay.
We don’t need more experienced politicians in Washington DC, we need more regular citizens with a conscience.
